Land Forces Innovation Awards

Anywise’s under-30 year olds are Leading industry how it is done at the Land Forces Innovation Awards.

Melbourne, 04/10/22 -- Anywise, an Australian-owned and operated consultancy specialising in agile project management within Defence and Government, has been recognised for its investment in the next generation of engineering leadership.

The AMDA Foundation, orgnaisers of the Land Forces event, launched the Innovation Awards in 2012 to recognise the incredible work local companies and individuals have exhibited with innovation in mind.

After entering three candidates within the Young Innovators category Anywise was thrilled to learn that of the two available finalist spaces, Anywise had been selected for both. James Tsarouhas and Lachlan Clark, were both submitted for their excellent work on Fleet Agnostic Bridge Health and Usage Monitoring System (FABHUMS) - an innovation project focusing on HUMS for the ADF’s Gap Crossing Capability.

James, a Senior Engineering Consultant employed with Anywise for three years, was announced as the winner of the Young Innovators category today. His approach to managing challenges and developing engineering solutions with the big-picture in mind helped push the project forward overcoming the largest of obstacles. Suggesting outside-the-box solutions even while challenges impacted testing and the continuation of the project.

At an early time in his Defence career Lachlan, as a Software Engineer in the Anywise Internship Program, was part of the team on the FABHUMS project. Upon completing his internship, Lachlan was offered a role with SAAB as a Graduate Engineer where he is currently working. While no longer an official employee of Anywise, due to his past work on the project, he was an obvious choice for Anywise to put forward.

Anywise intends to continue to invest within the next generation, allowing all team members to have a voice and encourage that they share their ideas in an open environment. In a stage of growth, Anywise are expanding and seek to continue utilising the formula for finding more great talent; a balanced approach with work and life, transparent communication, and like-minded people passionate in being a force for good.

With a goal to continue to push the boundaries of how work has been completed in the past and shape what the future within the Defence and Government industries will look like. Anywise is growing and intends to continue to make a positive impact with innovation front of mind.
