National Reconciliation Week 2020 (In this together)

Writer: Anywise HQAnywise HQ

Updated: Sep 30, 2020

Anywise acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land on which we operate. We also pay our respects to Elders past and present.

This week Anywise paused to reflect on our relationship as individuals and as a company with Indigenous Australia.

As well as generating interest and sparking some individual curiosity, this week provides us the opportunity to reaffirm our intent to support reconciliation. We can all make changes in the everyday things we do at work. By committing to an acknowledgment of country, we all do our part to pay due respect to Indigenous Australians.

We explored the wide ways in which an enhanced relationship with Indigenous Australia would benefit the company and the individuals in it.

We also took the opportunity to launch our Reconciliation Action Plan working group. Reinforcing our commitment to make meaningful, not just tokenistic change.

Our discussion this week has also included reviews of the Uluru Statement and our understanding of the 3 tenets to it - Voice, Treaty, Truth.
