Anywise is pleased to announce that our Managing Director Adam Evans has been appointed as the Alliances Manager for Victorian Defence Alliances (VDA).
The Alliances Manager role is a high profile, key leadership position and Anywise congratulates the Victorian Government, Australian Defence Alliance - Victoria and the VDA on this announcement.
Having handed over operational responsibilities for Anywise earlier in 2020, Adam has both passion and capacity to unlock potential in Victorian Small and Medium Enterprises.
Since starting Anywise in 2014, Adam has been an advocate for bringing small to medium sized enterprises into the defence supply chain.
Last year, Anywise launched its SME Talent Community to provide primes and major service providers comprehensive access to available niche skill sets found in Australian SMEs. This initiative has helped strengthen the defence SME base.
This focus on industry collaboration and cross-industry access is something that Adam hopes to develop further in his new role at the VDA.
The VDA is a partnership between the Australian Defence Alliance – Victoria and the State Government of Victoria. Any Victorian company wishing to supply products or services to the national and international defence industry market is welcome to become a member of the alliance.
Adam brings his passion and desire to help SMEs bring their innovative ideas to find cost effective and timely delivered projects to meet the needs in Australian Defence.
“Victoria has a long and proud history of providing support to the Defence industry. Victorian Defence Alliance Members are well-placed to win and deliver support in the coming years because of renewed commitment from the Federal Government to buy Australian products and move to strengthen obligations around AIC [Australian Industry Capability],” said Adam.
Anywise General Manager Steve Kouloumendas continues to provide company leadership and oversight on behalf of the Anywise Board. While Anywise continues to navigate the challenges of the economic impacts of COVID-19, it is operating at full strength remotely. Over the past four months, Anywise leadership has invested in additional training and operational capabilities.
Anywise continues to deliver agile and responsive support to our clients. We are an ethical and highly innovative company. Our staff are all empowered to make decisions and commit resources to solve our clients most challenging problems.
Anywise has developed new service offerings (in part due to the Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG) reducing access to opportunities for SMEs for the Land Systems Division) and will be making additional announcements in the coming weeks.
We wish Adam Evans the best of luck in his new role and look forward to seeing him bring more small to medium enterprises into the Defence supply chain.
